Squalane/Squalene
Squalane and Squalene are used interchangeably to describe a plant- or shark- sourced oil which is high in oleic acid. It replenishes lost moisture with superior absorption into the skin.

The shark source - found in the sharks that swim deep in the cold waters around Japan - is richer in oleic acids than the botanical sources, which include amaranth seeds, wheat germ and olives.
